As a beamman, you will work within a rental organisation of 40 colleagues. Job description

You will operate the beam of Geba's machines and those of its clients. You have road construction in your blood and always strive for quality work, where you do not mind irregular shifts. As a beamman, you bear great responsibility for the machines, the working environment and safety.

Job requirements

  • Minimum completed MBO level 3 education
  • Relevant work experience
  • Possess VCA-basis and driving licence BE
  • Command of the Dutch language
  • Available full-time and willing to work weekends and nights
  • Willingness to work in border areas (Belgium and Germany)

Job content

You control the beam of the machine where, together with your team, you ensure that the layer thickness of the asphalt is applied as ordered. You work as part of a team and therefore communicate a lot with the asphalt processing machine operator, asphalt finishers and roller operators. Your input and ideas are important for the success of the team. The lines of communication in the team are therefore short and you talk to each other openly and directly.

Tasks

Preparation and execution of the work

  • Prepares work with the machine.
  • Loads and unloads machine onto and off a means of transport (flatbed truck).
  • Makes the machine ready for use on time.
  • Reports and records activities
  • Moves the machine.
  • Performs machine work.

Performs maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting.

  • Performs regular maintenance and minor repairs to the machine if necessary
  • Reports and records maintenance
  • Identifies, analyses and remedies machine malfunctions
